Welcome to my online studio! My name is Linda Gosman and hope you will find as much pleasure in looking at my paintings as I did in painting them.  Utilizing only the finest of archival materials and pigments in both my originals and prints, they are meant to withstand the hands of time and give those who look upon them pleasure for many years   to come. My work also encompasses a variety of subject matter and techniques, allowing for my own artistic exploration and development, and indirectly providing viewers an opportunity to explore their own tastes and interests.

My venture into the art world began at an early age when a kindly neighbor gave me a book on, How To Draw Horses. Day in and day out I practiced until I was able to capture the beauty and strength in the majestic lines of that beautiful animal.  This success fostered a lifelong process of learning that continues even until today.

Over the years I have studied under, or attended workshops of, several notable artists including Charles Reid, Skip Lawrence, Don Andrews, Alex Powers, Mary Whyte and other talented artists who have encouraged and shaped my artistic vision and work.  Extending beyond my own pursuits I have taught watercolor classes and juried locally.  In addition, I was a contributing writer for the national magazine, American Artist, and had the joy and pleasure to interview many accomplished artists, learning their techniques and then sharing that knowledge with others.

About Linda

Currently a member of the Baltimore Water Color Society, my paintings are held in both private and corporate collections.  Among them, the Hospice of the Chesapeake chose one of my paintings in a juried process to represent an annual regatta event, selling prints of the artwork and auctioning the original as a fundraiser for that organization.  Another commissioned piece, “A Nation’s Tribute “, hangs in Bolling Air Force Base and represents the Air Force’s presence in Arlington’s National Cemetery.  That painting, now offered as a giclee print, continues to honor those have served and died in that branch of the service.

If you are interested in a commission or work that I might have in my collection but have not displayed in this gallery, please feel free to contact me.  Workshops are also available upon request.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to view my art.  Linger as long as you want. Most of all, enjoy!

Best Wishes,
